If You Go Into the Woods Today....

I know a few of you (Christina!) has been anxiously waiting to hear the theme of Kate's birthday party. My sister has a little girl just a few weeks older than Kate so we decided since our family would all be here for their annual Stampede weekend that we would have a joint 1st birthday party for the girls.

What better way to party than with your favourite teddy bears? We're having a Teddy Bear's Picnic! Mady thinks that bringing her bear to parties is pretty much the greatest thing ever and is very excited for Kaitlyn's party day. She asks me every day if today is Kate's party day.

Here's some fun trivia. The day we're having it (July 10th) is the official Teddy Bear's Picnic day. And we were just looking for a day that worked! So we went with it and ended the party at 6pm (because the song says "At 6 o 'clock their Mommies and Daddies will take them home to bed...) . I know, I'm a total nerd.

Sadly our postal system was on strike and I couldn't mail them (don't worry, I told people the details in advance just in case). Basically strikes just ruin my plans. So glad I wasn't trying to mail things for a wedding or something!
