I'm so excited for this giveaway! And even better, this isn't just a one day giveaway. Nope, you get 14 days of giveaways! Whoo hoo! Come back every day and I'll let you know who is hosting the prizes that day.

When my friend Randee from Randee's Organized Chaos put out the word that she was looking for blogs to partner with for this event, I jumped at the chance because I have such amazing followers and I wanted to give you all a little something for being sweet and following along to my ramblings about a certain cookie and freak outs about bad hair and crazy amounts of sewing projects this spring.

But don't worry, all that sewing wasn't just for me. I made something for you!

Pink Lemonade Apron and Chef Hat
with matching Recipe Cards
A 4T (ish - it could probably fit 3T-5T quite easily since it's adjustable), easy on/off (yeah velcro!) chef hat and apron set, hand made by me. The pink fabric has little tiny polka dots on it that don't show up on camera, so I think it's even sweeter in person.

And some giant ricrac (one of my favourite things) and a matching button flower on the waist and the hat.

Oh and of course I had to include some matching recipe cards, because every new chef has to start her recipe collection at a very young age!

So if you have a little girl in your life who likes to cook, or bake, or even just pretend

To enter fill in the rafflecopter widget below.
I will announce the winner on the May 15th so that gives you a week to enter!

And make sure you remember to enter yesterday's giveaway at Randee's Organized Chaos for the "Bling Bling Hide and Sole" Flip flops!

Sneak peak at Blogapalloosa

Last week I mentioned that I was going to be part of Blogapalloosa. I've teamed up with 13 other bloggers and each day one of us will host a giveaway on our blog. Which means you have 14 days to win some fabulous prizes! Sounds great, right?

Well, today I'm giving you a sneak peak at what you can win on MY blog during my day of Blogapalloosa.

Ready?

A 4T (ish - it could probably fit 3T-5T quite easily since it's adjustable), easy on/off (yeah velcro!) chef hat and apron set, hand made by me. The pink fabric has little tiny polka dots on it that don't show up on camera, so I think it's even sweeter in person.
And the giant ricrac! I had a hard time not just keeping it for my girls. And yes, now there is yet ANOTHER project on my list of things to make them!

Oh and of course I had to include some matching recipe cards, because every new chef has to start her recipe collection at a very young age. :)

So, if you have an aspiring chef or baker, or you know a little girl who needs this set (granddaughter, niece, friend, neighbour down the street...basically anyone around the age of 4), grab the blogapalloosa button and put it on your blog so you don't forget to stop by for a chance to win.

Some Bloggy Business

I've really been quite terrible this week. Can you believe I went to all the work of getting (not making, don't shame me!) my girl's easter dresses and then I didn't even get pictures in them? Don't worry, Grandma, we'll re-stage a pretend easter and take some pictures! And of course we did an easter egg hunt and had cute easter baskets and a took a ton of pictures. They just didn't make it onto the blog. Maybe if I get some time this week.

I started potty training Katie this weekend. I blame that on my neglecting my poor blog. I wish I could say it's going glorious and after a mere 6 hours she's got the hang of it. It's been 4.5 days. She GETS it, she just can't do it. So, successes have only been because Mommy thinks enough time has passed and suggests a "just in case" run. It's tiring. She's a brilliant kid. I just wish her bladder muscles were as quick-learning....

So, because of my depressed state (not really. I'm just being dramatic), I decided to share some fun news.

Take a look at my side bar there on the right. You should notice a few new things!

First - I have a new button. Isn't it purdy?? My new bloggy friend Connie (from Measured By the Heart) made it for me. Isn't she sweet? I love it! And if you want to display it on your blog, feel free. :)

Second, you'll notice a nice blinking blog button there too. Make sure you read through the whole thing. You'll notice that it's got all the details for a really fun giveaway I'm part of. 14 days of giveaways! Oh yes you read that right. How fun, right?? I'll keep you posted on all the details. It's going to be great. And I might be whipping up something fabulous to give away for it. Okay, not might, I am. So if you have a little girl in your life, you'll want to pay attention. And feel free to take that button as well so that you can tell your friends all about it!

And then I have some great news about some new stuff around here. I finally got smart and realized that people may want some different options of ways to follow my blog. I'm going to add the linky followers widget (as that seems to be the replacement for GFC for the non-blogger users). Any other ways you wish I had? If you have a request, let me know and I'll look into it. Just don't ask me to tweet. I suck at it.

Lastly, I'm super excited to announce a fun link up party that I get to co-host with a couple other of my new bloggy friends. (Connie is making us a fun button for that one too. Can't wait to show you!)

Basically you make stuff that you pinned on pinterest and link it up. Perfect for a pinterest-obsessed person such as myself. And I get to pick my favourites each week (so do the other gals). AND, if you link to one of our blogs, it shows up on all three. Less work, more exposure for you! How great is that? So be thinking of projects 'cause I want to see what you've been up to!

One Year Blogiversary

A year ago today I sat at my computer and typed in about 40,000 various names that I thought would be cute for a blog name into Blogger. This day proved to me that there truly is nothing new under the sun and everything that I thought was cute and creative, other people did too.

I finally settled upon a name that takes all the crazy parts of my life and mashes them together and hopefully creates something interesting and beautiful. A Rhapsody of Cacophony. It made sense to me. It was also late at night. I also just wanted to get to the next step. I also forgot that it would be hard for people to spell. I get a kick out of seeing the various spellings people type into google to re-find my blog (they come up in my stats, people, so I know you can't spell!). "Rapcity" is my favourite. :)

Then I moved on to step 2: The first post.

I think I rewrote it about 5 times. It was a big deal in my mind. Though I don't know why because NO ONE read it. Yup, no one. In fact, I don't think my blog got more than 3 hits a week (thanks to my sister) until I posted Kaitlyn's birth story and posted the link on facebook (So I guess people just like eww-gross kind of details. Good to know. )That first post was awkward. Okay, most of the early ones were. Okay, a lot of them still are. But that's because that's what I do when I'm not sure what to do. I become very awkward.

So if we ever meet in person and you think I'm NOTHING like I am in my writing (you know, when I'm being all myself and such), it's because I have to look you in the eyes and don't have the luxury of taking 10 minutes to write a paragraph (and edit!) and in my head I'm thinking all sorts of great things to say, but then OVER-thinking all the possible ways you may react and trying to pick the BEST one so that we have the greatest chance at becoming friends. Which indeed does take too long and while I'm doing all that, we're standing there feeling really weird. Don't be so surprised. I think we established last week how neurotic I really am when I told you about waiting to call people until it's not an "o'clock."

So ya, it's been a year. Yea me! And somewhere in that year each of YOU decided that my crazy (and lets face it, sometimes boring) life was worth reading about. Thanks for reading along! I appreciate it. And thanks for writing comments and laughing at with me. That's my favourite part.

I'm looking forward to the next year.

Hey, does one need to celebrate a blogiversary with cake? I may need to make one...
